Scroller is a bare bones option for completely custom scrollbars that retain a native feel. The scrollbar can be styled using basic CSS and will fall back to the standard browser chrome if JavaScript is disabled. If you find most scrollbar replacements too bloated or convoluted for basic applications, Scroller is the answer.
PathJS : Simple, lightweight routing for web browsers
PathJS is a lightweight, client-side routing library that allows you to create “single page” applications using Hashbangs and/or HTML5 pushState.

Pronto : A jQuery plugin for faster page loads
Building on concepts like pjax and TurboLinks, Pronto is a simple way to harness the speed increases that HTML5’s pushState() can provide on nearly any site imaginable.
Using a “partial page load” technique, Pronto reduces the over all server load and font-end render time by only updating pieces of a page instead of the entire document. On many sites, basic layout like the header and footer remain generally the same page to page. The overall browsing experience gets a little shot of caffine by only requesting these pieces of markup once, as well as assets like stylesheets, scripts or fonts.

jQuery Unveil : A very lightweight plugin to lazy load images
A very lightweight jQuery plugin to lazy load images.This plugin is very useful and it boosts performance delaying loading of images in long web pages because images outside of viewport (visible part of web page) won’t be loaded until the user scrolls to them. Lazy Load has some cool options such as custom effects, container, events or data attribute. If you’re not gonna use any of them you can reduce the file size by leaving just the essential code to show the images. That’s what I did and this is my lightweight version of Lazy Load with support for serving high-resolution images to devices with retina displays – less than 1k<.
